Nest Learning Thermostats has appointed Encore Electrical Ltd as an approved professional installer covering Somerset and the South West. Nest thermostats were developed to deliver smarter, more controllable heating systems. Unlike other thermostat controllers that only allow you to adjust your heating remotely, the Nest system incorporates a ‘learning’ thermostat that quickly establishes how you use your heating and controls it in the most efficient way possible.
Encore MD Simon Hegarty explains further: “I installed a Nest thermostat in my own house and was completely sold. Not only can I control the heating remotely (useful when I’m in the office and my wife is at home cranking up the heating!) but it has also learned the way we live. For example, it knows that we all get up weekdays at 7am and that it takes about 40 minutes to heat the house to the temperature we like. It also can sense occupancy and can adjust the heating accordingly, and I can log in and get detailed information about our energy usage. It really is a clever piece of kit and relatively inexpensive; which is why we became qualified as approved Nest installers for Somerset and the South West.”
