Clarks Village Switch Room

Our client, one of the UK’s largest factory outlet shopping centres, contacted us to carry out a planned and scheduled main switch room re-location. The shopping centre is open 364 days a year and houses over 90 stores so it was imperative that this project was planned to perfection; ensuring an uninterrupted power supply during the long centre opening hours. Clarks Village also houses a selection of restaurants open until 11pm, so there was a very small available window to carry out this work. Although logistically difficult, the project was completed without a hitch!

Elements included:

• Planned and scheduled main switch room relocation
• 4.2m switch gear panels and over 3.5 tonnes of cabling
• Working in close partnership with building design consultants
• Alterations to existing cable routes
• Seamless integration of new cabling, switch room and distribution board
• Supply new power and lighting to ‘Superdry’ outlet
