Domestic electrical refurbishment in Grade II listed country house

October 5, 2015

Well, this wasn’t your average 3 bed semi electrical rewire!  This Somerset country house has been divided into imposing period residences and we were asked to work closely with renowned interior designers Goodchild Interiors to completely refurbish the domestic electrical systems.  The project included full domestic re-wire, new fuseboards, replacement and installation of new accessories and it was a real pleasure to be involved.

In a building of this quality and age, it was essential to ensure that the installation was carried out sympathetically and to the highest possible standards.  Following discussions with the client, the interior designers created an outstanding brief for the lighting and power systems, and it was our job to see this vision through to completion.

As you would expect, the switch plates, sockets and accessories were all finished in beautiful brushed stainless steel, but the real work went in to the wiring infrastructure.  There was even a stone mason and carpenter on site to ensure that the wiring was installed and concealed in the most appropriate and respectful manner.

And to top it all, the property is set in park like gardens so there was always a lovely view when we were eating our sarnies!
